AgileThought Forms Winning Team at AT&T Mobile App Hackathon
TAMPA, FL (December 09, 2011) – Nearly 100 techies came together on December 5th for the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon at TechVenture 2011 in Orlando to learn about new technologies, build mobile apps, and compete for prizes. AgileThought’s Nikita Polyakov and Bill Reiss formed a team with two other peers at the event to take First Place Overall in the one-day competition, surpassing 16 other applications developed and shown that day.
Through their combined expertise and a common passion for mobile application development, the team began their coding with Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Developer platform around 11am. In just a few hours they delivered a working application from concept to a running functional application – SkyMinders.
This winning mobile application uses Facebook API integration and Windows Phone 7.5 features like double sided Live Tile and Microsoft Push Notification Service to deliver a compelling experience. The application also showcases good use of Metro Design Language Principles in designing a great user experience, including a welcoming Panorama Control feature familiar to Windows Phone users.
